Karen Gilmore white was born on Feb 12TH, 1949.The daughter of James M and Marian L Gilmore. Karen married the love of her life Harold White on July 12th, 1969.
Karen was a community service worker for approximately 40 years. Karen served as the President of the Overland Park Chapter of Women's Aglow, served with the Catholic Charities and provided services to various homeless shelters. One of Karen's biggest achievements was when she was ordained as a Pastor in 2005. Karen also spent many years as a dedicated worker while she was at Greater Pentecostal Temple. She took pride in the start of her organization Kingdom Konnection which she ministered to those in need, especially with prayer. Her dream was to own her own church in order to help underprivileged families. Karen took in anyone who needed a place to stay or a hand up. In addition to all of her many years of ministry, Karen also loved to cook and was the head cook to the Pastors at Visitation for many years and also owned her owned Catering business. Anything Karen could do to help minister to those in need, she would do.
Karen was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, James and Marian Gilmore. Survived by her loving Husband Harold, who lived by his vows, for better or worse, richer or poorer, and in sickness and health. Also by her sons, Eric White and his wife Klancy, Todd White, his wife Paige and Keith White who were all three her pride and joy. All three sons turned out to be strong God fearing men with great integrity and respect for life. Grandchildren Riley White, Sophia White and Trenton White, who she always said were the reason for her existence. Three sisters; Sandra Gray, Anita Watley and Cecelia Johnigan: three brothers; Jerome Gilmore, Anthony Gilmore and Mark Gilmore. Plus a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
