Ora Eastland

Ora Lee Eastland, 92, of Stanley, KS passed away Monday, November 16, 2015. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 20, from 9:30am to 10:30am with funeral immediately following at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Road, Olathe, Kansas. Interment will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to the Hope Dementia & Alzheimer's Services.

Ora Lee was born on June 8, 1923, in Stanley and was a life-long resident of the community. Ora Lee was a member of the Olathe Trail Riders and superintendent of Sunday school for Stanley Community Church.

Ora Lee was preceded in death by her husband, John, of 64 years, her parents, Alonzo and Daisy Paisley and sister, Dessie Flook. She is survived by her two daughters, Judy Kramer and husband Gary of Harrison, AR and Joann Cohee and husband Bill of Stanley, KS; four grandchildren; Tanya Myers and husband Chris, Doug Cohee and wife Michelle, Jody Shelton and husband Brit, Kevin Kramer and wife Ashley; nine great-grandchildren, Mason, Jacob, Caleb, Ramsey, Abigail, Meredith, Eli, Morgan & Luke, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ora Lee was not only a housewife, she worked hard by her husband's side helping him farm, cooking meals for farm-hands while taking care of their daughters. Ora Lee loved to garden, sew, dance, exercise, read books, travel, shop and spend time with family. She stayed young playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attended all their activities. She was a special woman who was always smiling. She will be greatly missed, but always cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
