Norman Leo Pelletier, age 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Olathe, KS on April 14, 2015. He was born August 25, 1931 in Salem, MA to Lucien and Eva Fraser Pelletier.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He worked at several jobs throughout his life, including working for Boeing, where he retired. He had a passion for finish carpentry, building many treasured custom pieces for family and friends. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Post 153 of Olathe, KS, Kansas State Vice-Commander 1983 – 1984 and Past 5th District Commander. He also held all offices at the American Legion, Post 256 of Wichita, KS.
Norm is survived by his significant other Jeri Switzer of the home, brothers Fred Pelletier of CA, Jean Pelletier of Manchester, NH, sisters Yevette Bontorno of Laconia, NH and Anne Salvo of Salem, MA, daughters, Norma Pelletier of Las Vegas, NV, Cindy Roth of Olathe, KS, Tina Cook of Colorado Springs, CO, Step Daughters Linda Hammes of Olathe, KS and Carolyn Billups of Louisburg, KS, grandchildren Christopher Pelletier, Venuz Duran, Joshua Cook, Dia Olney, Neil Roth and Scott Roth, Michael Switzer, Amanda Hammes, Austin Hammes and Cassidy Hammes and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Arthur, Roland and Albert, sisters Rosemarie, Cecile, Lorraine and Jeannine and grandson Jason Cook. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
