NORMA J. TATE
Age 74, passed away at her home in Olathe, KS on April 18, 2009, surrounded by her family. Private family services will be held. Memorial gifts are suggested to Continua Hospice, LLC, 7611 State Line Road, Suite 202, Kansas City, Mo 64114.
Norma was born October 21, 1934 in Neosho Rapids, KS, to William and Lena Lane. She was married to Jack Tate on November 10, 1955, and together they made their home in the Gardner area. She was employed with the Olathe News for over 16 years. She especially enjoyed time spent with her family, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Mark Tate, Ava, MO, Cheryl Jones, Wellsville, KS, Patty Smith, Pleasant Hill, MO, Julie Wagner, Columbus, IN, and Linda Isaac, Olathe, KS , her sister Arlene Scallet, Roseville, CA, her brother Delbert Lane, Mcfarland, KS, fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She will be missed by all who loved her.
