NORMA JEAN "JEANIE" KARR, age 88, passed away August 28, 2013 in Olathe, KS. Private family services will be held. Jeanie was born December 5, 1924 in St. Louis, MO to Oliver and Frances Clerc. She was married to Melvin Karr, a WWII veteran, on February 4, 1946 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Jeanie and Mel resided in St. Louis, MO until 2009, when they moved to the Olathe, KS area to be near family. Jeanie and Mel enjoyed attending Cardinals games together for over 25 years. Mel will always love "his little doll" as she was so petite, and he will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Mel, her sisters Shirley (Bob) Marquart and Carol (Bill) Shearrer, sister-in-law Ruth Clerc, sister-in-law Lucille Karr, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Clerc. Memorials are suggested to College Church of the Nazarene, 2020 E. Sheridan, Olathe, KS 66062.
