Noah Johnson

Noah J. Johnson, 78, of Greeley, KS passed Thurs. July 28, 2016. Visitation will be 1-2PM Mon. Aug. 1st. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe Chapel. Service will follow at 2PM with burial at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. (Arr. Penwell-Gabel Olathe)

Noah was born September 30, 1937 in rural Faulkner County, Arkansas near Conway to Noah and Margarete Johnson. He moved to Kansas City in 1957 and worked for Sutherland Lumber for 47 years. He loved working in the garden and green house and enjoyed taking care of his cows.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Billy and Amon.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 59 yearss Retha L. Johnson of the home, daughters; Brenda Parker and Husband Randy, and Cheryl Gronewaller and husband Mark, sons; Michael Johnson and wife Maria and David Johnson and 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. As well as her sister Emma Lowe and husband Walt, brothers; Windell Johnson and wife Debbie, Adron Johnson and wife Buehla and Amon Johnson and aunt Cordell Long who was like a mother to Noah.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society 6811 Shawnee Mission Pkwy #202 Mission, KS 66202.
