Age 87. Passed away in Lenexa, KS. Neil was born in Cortland, NE to Frederick and Ella Moormeier. He served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII, and married Joyce Hoggarth on November 20, 1954. Neil and Joyce raised their family in Omaha, NE where he was employed as a manager with Snap-on Tools. He enjoyed golfing and skeet-shooting. In retirement, Neil and Joyce wintered in Palm Springs. In 2007, Neil and Joyce moved to Lenexa, KS to be near family. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, his children Jill Moormeier, Reed (Jayne) Moormeier, and Tim (Diana) Moormeier, grandchildren Ben, Brooke, Jack and Emily, his brothers Norman and Paul Moormeier. He was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
Services Saturday, December 17th at 2pm at Cortland United Church, 500 Sheridan Ave, Cortland, NE. Burial to follow in Cortland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Ducks Unlimited or to the charity of your choice.
