Neil Dooling

Roland Neil Dooling was born on October 19, 1934 and passed into the Lord's loving embrace on May 5, 2021 at the age of 86.
He was born in Reed Springs, Missouri to Benjamin and Fern Dooling. He graduated from Reed Springs High School and then Southwest Missouri State. He married the love of his life, Evelyn L (Hedrick) in June of 1953.
Neil worked at Yellow Freight for 22 years and prior to that worked at Western Auto for 17 years. He was a member of Nall Avenue Baptist and an active member of First Baptist Church of Stilwell in Kansas since 1971.
Neil loved helping people and his generous spirit was well known. He volunteered at Shawnee Mission Medical Center for 24 years. Neil was an avid bowler and won many tournaments including participating in the Senior Olympics.
Neil is survived by wife Evelyn and their children: Melodi (Pat) McAnany, and Randy (Vicki) Dooling, along with five grandchildren Katie (Jared), Ben (Susan), Ryan (Moira), Allison and Caroline, and great-granddaughter Mary Rose Rottinghaus.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Stilwell Baptist Food Pantry, located at 19950 Broadmoor Ln, Stilwell, KS 66085.
