Nancy C. Simpson, 75, of Lenexa and Gardner, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022. She was born on December 31, 1946 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Percy and Laura (Hughes) Montee.
She grew up in Cherokee Kansas and was proud to be the youngest of 12. She moved to Kansas City when she was 18 and worked at the VFW, Macys and Dahl's grocery store to name a few of the places she was employed. She loved rooting for the Chiefs and the Royals and going to many many concerts! She loved being a Mom and even more a Nana.
Nancy is survived by her children, Lara (Seth) Hansen and Larry "Joe" Simpson; grandchildren, Cooper and Alexis Hansen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry J. Simpson.
The family will receive guests for a visitation from 5:00-7:00pm on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Penwell Gabel's Olathe Chapel, with a graveside service at 11:00am on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Gardner Township Cemetery in Gardner, KS.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Nancy's memory be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
