Nancy Lenox (Damm) Payne, 74, of Olathe, passed away on July 23, 2021 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born on January 23, 1947 to Norman and Nieta (Townsend) Damm Jr. at Kansas City, MO.
Nancy attended Colorado Women's College as a pre- med major and participated on the College's ski and golf teams.
On July first 1967, she married David Watts Payne, and they made their home in Prairie Village, Kansas. They were blessed with a marriage spanning 54 years.
Nancy worked as the high school Executive Assistant at Kansas City Christian School for 16 years, and later in life served as an Executive Assistant at Ideal Producers Group in Leawood, KS.
She is survived by her loving husband, David, her 4 daughters Heather Baker, Laura Moore, Brooke Gallimore, Makenzie Lague, and her son David B. Payne. Nancy has 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She has one brother, Norman Damm, III, and one sister, Julie Snyder.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Norm and Nieta Damm.
A Celebration of Nancy's Life will be held on Thursday, August 26th. The memorial service will commence at 4:00 PM followed by a visitation until 7:00 PM. The service will be held at Christ Community Church (Olathe Campus) located at 20600 W. 119th street, Olathe KS 66061.
Nancy was a strong advocate for the disadvantaged and down trodden, seeing and serving the best in others. Nancy believed strongly that God's grace was sufficient to meet every need and strove to be an example of His grace to others. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
