Nancy Ann Brock, 78, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on December 9, 2020 at the Olathe Medical Center.
She was born on November 29, 1942 to Yvon and Marjorie (Ashby) Thomas in Centerville, IA. Nancy attended Lincoln High School in Des Moines, IA. She later received her GED in 1980. On February 25, 1961, Nancy was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, James "Jim" Lee Brock. Nancy and Jim lived in many places over the years, including Des Moines, IA, Garland, TX, Emporia, KS, North Kansas City, KS, Peoria, IL, St. Peters, MO, and most recently Olathe, KS.
Nancy loved and cherished her husband and family. She took a special joy in watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren laugh, grow and flourish. Nancy loved her flowers and had lovely pots of beautiful flowers every spring. She loved her sisters and brothers and loved the Lord.
In a phrase, what Nancy did best was love and be loved.
Nancy was very involved in the support of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.
Nancy is survived by her loving Husband, Jim; Sons, Timothy (Felicia) Brock of Wichita, KS, Lonie (Angie) Brock of Olathe, KS and James (Jackie) Brock Jr. of Thorton, CO; Siblings, Jerry Thomas of Des Moines, IA, Donna Sandegren of North Richland Hills, TX, David Thomas of Blue Eye, MO, and Donald Thomas of Bonner Springs, KS; Grandchildren, Aimee Dierbeck, Erica Brock, Cathryn Buehler, Haleigh Howell, Trevor Brock, Hannah Brock, and James Brock III; and Great-grandchildren, Davis, Waverly, and Lincoln Buehler, and Wesley and Grayson Howell.
She was preceded in death by her parents Yvon and Marjorie Thomas; twin brother, Nicky Thomas; sister, Linda Castelline; and granddaughter, Payton Brock.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 18, 2020 from 6-8PM at Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Olathe, Kansas. A private funeral service will be held.
Interment will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Emporia, KS.
