Murell D. Page, 73 of Shawnee, KS passed away Wednesday, September 21st, 2016. The celebration of his life will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 29th, 2016 at the Church of Christian Fellowship in Carbondale, KS.
Murell was born June 4, 1943 in Seminole, OK to Lonnie and Evelyn Page. In 1957, at the age of 14, he was adopted by his father Newton Horton. He grew up in Topeka, KS with his mother and father. Murell attended Highland Park Elementary School in Topeka where he met his future wife, Georgia. He was a graduate of Highland Park High School and went on to earn a degree in Mechanical Drafting.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Georgia Anne Page and their three children Dena Force, Murell Horton Jr., and Pamela Thomas. He also leaves behind five grandchildren and a loving extended family.
Murell was a fisherman, a music lover, and a carpenter. He owned his own wood-working business in Shawnee, KS and later became a school bus driver. He enjoyed doing puzzles and playing games with his family, studying history, and classic cars. He will be remembered as a man who loved the Lord and his family.
