MONROE HARDING DIENER

Monroe was born October 25, 1921 in Pittsburg, MO to Henry and Myrtle Diener. He served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII, from 1942 – 1945. He married Evelyn Moore on April 24, 1948 in Joplin, MO, and in 1950, they made their home in the Kansas City area. In 1980, he retired from General Motors after thirty years of service.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with his family. Monroe was a member of the American Legion, Earl Collier Post #153 in Olathe.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn, of Olathe, KS, his daughter Nancy Housh and her fiancé Randy Hallier, Olathe, KS, his brother Edwin Diener of Victorville, CA, his sister-in-law, Phyllis Diener of Kansas City, MO, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Clara Price, and his brothers Robert Diener, Alvin Diener, and Harold Diener.
