Miriam Soto-Berberena, 74, of Fort Leavenworth, KS, passed away February 16, 2020 at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
She was born on August 14, 1945 to Alejandro Soto and Justa Berberena at Las Piedras, Puerto Rico.
Miriam was an Owner/Operator of a nursing home, and also enjoyed a career as a teacher earlier in life.
She enjoyed watching the World Wrestling Federation on television, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Miriam is survived by her loving daughter, Miriam Yvette Leon, and son Jose Leon, her sister Elena Soto, her brothers Jesus, and Ahmed Soto, and her grandchildren James, Rose, Lexa, Jimmy, Michael, Kamila, Joseph, Anthony, Stephanie and Joshua.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Junior, Wilfredo, Radames, and Abimael.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at 5:00 pm at the Penwell-Gabel Olathe Chapel, Olathe, Kansas, with visitation to follow from 6-8pm.
