MICHELE ANN WHITE
went home to be with the Lord on October 21, 2007, at her home in Olathe, KS. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe, KS, where the family will receive friends an hour prior to service time. Interment, Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In her memory, the family encourages you to reach out to those in need, as she so often did.
She was born on August 11, 1949 in Sioux City, Iowa. She met David White on November 22, 1973, and they married on April 2, 1977. They raised their family in the Shawnee, KS area, and she was active in her church with children's ministry, and prayer groups. In her spare time, she enjoyed scrapbooking, painting, knitting, reading, cooking and decorating their home. She particularly loved being "Bammi" to her grandchildren, Mallory and Kyle.
She is survived by her husband, David, of the home, her daughter Melissa Benanti and her husband Ken, of Kansas City, Mo, her son Michael, of Olathe, her grandchildren, her mother, Delores Carey, Sioux City, IA, her brothers, Mike of Kansas City, KS, and Mark of So. Sioux City, NE, and her sister, Stephanie Pruitt of Everett, WA, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold "Jack" Carey.
We will love her always and miss her.
