Michael William Smith, 31, of Olathe, passed away on January 17, 2017 at University of Kansas Medical Center.
He was born on May 13, 1985 to William and Janna (Katz) Smith at Kansas City, MO in St. Joseph Hospital.
Michael worked as a server for Zio's Italian Restaurant, and previously as a supervisor for UPS and Fed Ex.
He enjoyed playing in his band, and he had a deep passion for music and his instrument of choice was the guitar. He loved being on stage where some of his best times were spent and he played in several different bands.
Michael is survived by his loving parents, Bill Smith and Janna Smith, his sisters, Regan Smith and Jessica Smith Stajduhar, nieces, Ayva Long and Skyler Stajduhar and nephew, Jackson Stajduhar.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marge (Von Gundy) Katz and Don Katz, and his paternal grandparents, Anna Jean (Jensen) Smith and Richard Smith.
