Michael "Mike" John Miller, age 74 of Spring Hill, Kansas, passed away on April 16, 2025 at his home.
Born in Wichita, Kansas on September 10, 1950, Mike later moved with his family to Olathe, Kansas, where he graduated from Olathe High School in 1968. A man who always dreamed of country life, Mike made that dream a reality on his cherished five acres in Spring Hill.
Mike began his career as a welder for Haulmasters and Royal Tractor before discovering his true passion: sales. From co-owning Silly Sally's -- a CB radio and electronics store in Kansas City Missouri, to working as an outside salesman for various electronics companies, Mike had a natural gift for connecting with people and sealing the deal. He finished his career at Olathe Ford RV, where he sold motorhomes and stories with equal enthusiasm until his retirement.
A member of the National Guard from 1971 to 1973, Mike also held deep passions outside of work. He was a lifelong Cadillac enthusiast, a frequent face at local swap meets, and a collector of eclectic art and decor. Mike had an eye for the unusual, and his home and yard reflected his creative one-of-a-kind spirit. He also enjoyed selling at the local swap meets in his younger years--always chasing the next great find or perfect trade. Mike will be remembered most for his unique style, his love of a deal, and the way he built a life that reflected exactly who he was.
He is survived by his daughter Leigha (Miller) Kneedler and her husband Chris, and his son Ryan Miller and wife Jennifer, all of Gardner, Kansas. He was a proud grandfather of six grandchildren--Gage Gretencord, Gavin Gretencord, Kyan Kneedler, Madison Miller, Lauren (Miller) Dome and Kaden Miller--and six great-grandchildren: Colt, Navy, Harper, Macyn, Marlie and Wesley. He also leaves behind his brothers Barney Miller (Janie) of St. Louis, MO., Donald Miller of Florida, and David Miller (Desi) of Bucyrus, KS, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mike was proceeded in death by his parents Charles and Bernice Miller, siblings Chuck Miller, Steve Miller, Susan Cole and Judith Ellis, and his nephew Butch Cole and niece Lauren Dopp.
A celebration of Mike's life will be held on the June 14, 2025 at his home in Spring Hill, Kansas. All who knew him are welcome to join in honoring a life well-lived, and a man never forgotten.
