Merlin Sidney Thompson, 81, of Overland Park, Kansas went to be with his Lord on Monday, October 15th, 2018. He was born April 2nd, 1937 in Pepin, Wisconsin. He was the co-owner of Dal's Upholstery in Minnesota, retired draftsman from Tescom in Elk River Minnesota, and a member of The Life Church of Kansas City. Mo. He was a founding member of the Rochester Pentecostal Church in Rochester, Minnesota.
Merlin is survived by his daughters Anita Wade and husband Randy of Overland Park, Kansas and Kim Carter of Oakdale, Minnesota; grandchildren Sidney and Wyatt Carter and Savanna Wade; brother Hugh Thompson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, sister Mary Anderson of Red Wing, Minnesota and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Evinda Thompson, his wife of 40 years Dahlia Thompson, His brother Claude Thompson and his sister Pearl Frederick.
A Celebration of his life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday October 20th at The Life Church, 14400 View High Drive in Kansas City, Mo. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time at The Life Church.
