Merelene Haselhorst

Merelene A. Haselhorst, 87, of Olathe, KS passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at The Good Samaritan Nursing Center. A memorial service will by held 11 am Tuesday, November 10 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mansfield, SD.
Merelene was born July 1, 1922 in Northville, SD to Carl and Freida Hoegermeier. She graduated in 1940 from Aberdeen Central High School before going on to work with her husband as secretary/treasurer at Northville Grain Company for 36 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Mansfield, SD and was a member of the ladies aide group at church. Merelene and her husband lived in Northville, SD for 43 years before moving to Aberdeen, SD and then to Olathe, KS in 2006.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years Vernon Haselhorst of the home. Two daughters Marge Bott and husband John of Olathe, KS and Barb Sweet and husband John of Delano, MN. One son Dale Haselhorst and wife Connie of Whitewood, SD. Two sisters Irene Hahler of Aberdeen, SD and Joanne Larson of Madison, SD. seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
