Melissa Eddings

Melissa "Michelle" Eddings, 52, of Olathe, KS passed February 15, 2022. A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30AM on Saturday, February 19 at Penwell-Gabel Olathe Chapel followed by a graveside service at 11:00am at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Overland Park, KS.

Michelle was born September 5, 1969 in Kansas City, Kansas to William "Bill" Eddings and Laura "Janette" Eddings, and graduated from Olathe South High School in 1988. After school, she worked at Home Depot for several years.

Michelle loved sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs and KU Basketball. She loved baking and going to the lake with family. She especially loved all of her nieces and nephews; she loved taking them places, doing projects with them and having sleepovers. She loved country music and in her earlier days enjoyed square dancing.


She was preceded in death by her grandmothers; Velma Eddings and Arkie Franz, grandfathers; Earl Eddings and Ervin Franz, stepmother, Barbara Eddings, aunt, Sandy Hagman, and uncles, Jerry Eddings and Jerry Hagman.

She is survived by her father, William Eddings (Mary), her mother, Janette Eddings, brothers, William Eddings JR (Dawn), Michael Eddings (Jennifer),and Scott Eddings (Jody), step-brothers, Rob Gooch (Kate), and step-sister, Sara Quirk (Jon). She is also survived by her nieces; Bailee Matthews (Spenser), Hannah Eddings, Lindsey Eddings, Taylor Eddings, Melissa Eddings, Kimmy Eddings and nephews; Tanner Eddings, Benjamin Eddings, Brandon Eddings, Marcus Eddings, Blake Quirk, Alec Quirk, aunts; Rozanna Eddings, Lenise Eddings, Delores Victor, and Jennie Eddings Carney, uncles; Larry Eddings, Mike Eddings, and Dick Victor, and numerous cousins.
