Melba Catherine Schmidtberger, 80, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away October 5, 2014 in Houston, TX. Melba was born January 6, 1934, in Pfeifer, Kansas, to Wendelin and Pauline Schmidt. She married Leroy Schmidtberger on June 19, 1954. Together they worked and raised their family in Hays, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Margola, and a grandson, Scott Schmidtberger of Orlando, FL.
Survivors include her husband LeRoy; children Terry Schmidtberger, Diana Schmidtberger, both of Houston,TX; grandchildren, Lyndsi, Travis & Kelsi Schmidtberger & great-grandson Hayden. Sister, Norma Schmidtberger, Overland Park, KS; brothers, Wendelin "Jr." (Kay) , Irvin (Nancy), & Leon (RoseAnn), Wichita, KS, Gary (Karen), Hot Springs, AR & Melvin (Connie), Victoria, KS; and many nieces & nephews.
