MEGAN K. McBRIDE FRANZ
Age 31, passed away January 4, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer the past 10 months. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, In Memory of Megan Franz, and may be sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe, KS 66062.
Megan was born Dec 8, 1977 in Topeka, Kansas to Tom and Meef McBride. She graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1995, and went on to graduate from the University of Kansas with a degree in Business Administration in 1999. She was employed as a Sales Executive with Cerner Corporation in 2001 until the time of her death.
She was married to Alex Franz on July 17, 2004 in Topeka, KS, and together they made their home in Overland Park, KS.
She is survived by her husband, Alex, of the home, her parents, Tom and Meef McBride, Topeka, KS, her sister Lara Daniels and her children, Hank, J.J., and Nick, Olathe, KS, brother Ted (Tiffany) McBride and their children James and Charlie, Overland Park, KS, and sister Sara McBride, of Chicago, IL, and a loving extended family.
Megan will be greatly missed by her family and friends who welcome all in celebrating her life.
