Mary Overfelt, 94, passed away October 14, 2014.
She was born in PA on May 18, 1920. After serving as a WAVE in WW II, Mary moved to Kansas City to work as an airline hostess for TWA. She married Charles Overfelt in 1948. Mary began to sell real estate in the 1960s and later owned Overfelt Realty. She developed her first gated community, Chartwell, in 1980 and eventually helped develop Loch Lloyd.
Mary is preceded in death by her son, Rocky, and her husband. Surviving are her daughter, Leslie, and granddaughter, Catie Brouse (Jon). Mary was always energetic, enthusiastic and ready to "Go for it!"
Services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, October 25, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 11 E. 40th St., Kansas City, MO 64111. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
