Mary C. Norton, 87, passed away on September 14, 2014 at her home in Olathe, KS. She was born on October 21, 1926 to John and Grace Chancellor in Scotland Co., MO .
Mary was an elementary school teacher for over 46 years, teaching in Bosworth, MO and at Fairview and Rolling Ridge Elementary schools in the Olathe School District.
On September 29, 1946, she married Merle Norton in Rutledge, MO. Until recent years, she was active in the Docey Dandies Square Dance CLub, the ONEA, the NEA, and the Chiles Baptist Church.
Mary is survived by her loving sons, Robert (Andrea) Norton, and Greg (Tammy) Norton, and grand-children Adam and Laura Whitworth and Traci Wolf, and her sister Garnett Tripp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle, and her sister Kathleen Tripp, and brothers Miles, Lyle, Max, Paul, Joe, and Lee Chancellor.
Memorials are suggested to the Olathe Medical Center Hospice House.
