Mary Lee Vickers

Mary Lee was born on June 22, 1937 to Mary Van Dierendonck and Charles Lee Phelps. She was raised in Kansas City, KS and attended St. Peter's Catholic Church. After graduation from Ward High School, Mary Lee worked for TWA, and she lived in Germany for several years with her first husband. She was married to John Vickers on January 1, 1971 and together they raised their daughters in Paola, KS. Later in life, Mary Lee earned her insurance license and pursued a career with Travelers Insurance Company. Throughout her life, she also resided in Olathe and Wellsville, KS. Mary Lee was devoted to her catholic faith and served as a Eucharistic Minister in her church parish.

Mary Lee is survived by her loving daughters Denise Vickers and Cindy Story, grandchildren Shane Alan Story, Lacy Marie and Cody James Jordan. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Vickers, in 2002, and her parents. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her and loved her.
