Mary "Peg" Lampkin of Overland Park, Kansas, stepped into Glory on August 6, 2014, with family by her side.
Peg was born on March 6, 1930 in Benton, Arkansas, to Charles F. and Allie Lee (Rice) Rapier. She attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock and was active in the Order of Eastern Star. Peg was married in 1950 to the love of her life, Shep Lampkin. Peg worked as a secretary in engineering, law and banking until she retired. Peg was an avid student of scripture and Bible Study Fellowship. She also spent many hours supporting others through Alanon.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John Shepard Lampkin, Jr., and her daughter Sharon Lampkin. She is survived by her daughters, Shellee (Art) Barrett of Tacoma, Washington; Sheri (Rob) Mortko of Olathe, Kansas; and Shawn (Tom) Nutter of St. Louis, Missiouri, and grandchildren Tyler, Matthew, Claire and Max as well as her sister Juanita Conrad of Benton, Arkansas.
