Mary Grace “Grace” Acaling Holder

Mary Grace “Grace” Acaling Holder, born on March 4, 1975, in Silay City, Philippines, passed away peacefully alongside her family on February 2, 2025, in Maize, Kansas. 

Grace was a cherished individual whose life touched the hearts of many worldwide, making friends wherever she went. She was well known for her love for God, her family, and life. 

As a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Grace’s testimony of the gospel was the foundation of her life. In 1996, she answered the call to serve as a missionary in Davao, Philippines, where she shared the message of Jesus Christ with love and devotion. Her time as a missionary was one of the most cherished experiences of her life, and she often spoke of the people she met and the lives she was blessed to touch. Her faith was not just something she believed—it was something she lived every day, through her service, her kindness, and her unwavering trust in our Heavenly Father.

She was also a dedicated journal keeper, recording the moments of her life with heartfelt detail. Through her writing, she preserved memories, testimonies, and personal reflections that will continue to inspire those who read them. In addition, she was a lifelong learner, always eager to explore new hobbies and create meaningful experiences.

Grace was the third of four sisters, growing up surrounded by love, laughter, and a deep sense of family. Her unbreakable bond with her sisters was lifelong, built on shared memories, faith, and unwavering support for one another. Above all, she cherished being a mother, finding her greatest joy with her two daughters, Aki and Sariah. 

The celebration of Grace’s life will take place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 21515 W 101st St, Lenexa, Kansas. Visitation is scheduled for February 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service. A private family burial will follow at the Olathe Memorial Cemetery. 

Her love, faith, and adventurous spirit will live on in the lives of all who knew her.
