Mary E. Hackerott, 104, passed away December 5, 2006 at Royal Terrace Care Center in Olathe, where she had been a resident for seven years.
Mrs. Hackerott was born November 26, 1902. She was the daughter of Samuel R. and Emma Hemphill of Olathe. She was a 1928 graduate of the College of Emporia and married Lester F. Hackerott in 1932. He preceded her in death in 1986. She was also preceded in death by a son, Dale Eldon, in 1943. Mrs. Hackerott taught in the Natoma Public Schools and retired from teaching with the Olathe District Schools in 1967.
Survivors include two daughters; Lois M. & husband Roger Russell and; Judith E. & husband Jim McKee; five grandchildren; Randy & wife Kristy Russell, Carol & husband David Lang, Amy & husband Tom Boehm, Lisa & husband Gary Allen, and Holly & husband Andy Conser; and fifteen great-grandchildren; Hannah, Emily, Sarah, Elijah, and Leah Russell; Elizabeth Lang; Alex and Matthew Boehm; Amanda, Bradley, Lucas, Madeline, and Nicholas Allen; Wesley and Grace Conser.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to New Hope Presbyterian Church in America where she was a charter member, New Hope PCA, 13310 South Blackbob Rd., Olathe, KS 66062
