Mary Lou Burkitt born to Grace Marie Messner Loveless and Sydney George Loveless on January 22, 1925 in Topeka, KS, Mary Lou Burkitt passed on Thursday, January 10, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husband, Francis Deming Burkitt and daughter, Georgia Marie Burkitt Morrison (William). Survivors include her twin sister, Margie Jane Loveless Semke, brother Richard Messner Loveless, her daughter Mary Frances Burkitt Mejia (Rene'), her sons Jeffrey Allen Burkitt (Beth), Matthew Dwayne Burkitt (Nancy), Norman Joel Burkitt (Nina), twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Mary Lou lived a full life of family, friends and faith.
The family wishes to express our gratitude to the staffs of Avonlea Cottage of Olathe, Villa Saint Francis and Encompass hospice for their compassion and care for Mary Lou. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 2pm at Penwell-Gabel Olathe Chapel.
