Martin H. Morehead, a cherished husband, beloved father, devoted grandfather, and loved son, passed away on March 28, 2025, at the age of 64 in Olathe, Kansas. Born on December 13, 1960, in Falls City, Nebraska.

Martin was married to his wife, Lisa Perry in September,1981 in Falls City, NE. This marriage brought three children. Martin and Lisa moved to Olathe in 1986. He had a long career with Johnson County government, as well as running his own personal business.

Martin was known for his tireless work ethic and dedication, always putting his best foot forward in every endeavor. Martin was very dedicated to anything that involved dirt. Whether it was running his SmoothCat Grading business, farming, garden tractor pulling, or attending Pro Pulling events with his family. Martin had many interests that brought joy not only to himself but to those around him. He had a deep love for music, playing the drums in several bands and sharing his passion for music with friends and family. Through all of these hobbies Martin's larger-than-life spirit allowed him to make lasting relationships that have spanned decades.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa (Perry), children: sons Jed(Shelbie) and Levi, and daughter Lauren(Jake) Cohen. His grandchildren Landon, Hailey, Nova, Kinsley,and one on the way. Each of them carries forward his legacy, filled with love and laughter, memories that will remain etched in their hearts. Martin's mother, Colleen, and brother Murvyn (Kelli), also survives him, an ever-present source of support and love throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph, whose memory lives on in the stories and lessons Martin cherished.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on April 11, 2025, during the visitation held at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe, Kansas, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

There will be a full service in Falls City, NE at a later date.

As we remember Martin, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by hard work, musical passion, and an unwavering love for family. His memory will continue to inspire all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
