Martha Pauline Krusemark, age 93, passed away Tuesday June 30, 2020. She was born on August 25, 1926 on a farm outside of Garden City, KS, the daughter of Perry G. and Hannah P. Stonehocker. She attended several local schools, graduated from Garden City High School, attended Garden City Community College and Wichita State University. On December 30, 1950 she married Frank R. Krusemark in Raton, New Mexico. Frank was in the Army and served in Korea for 2 years. When he returned, they moved to Dodge City, KS where their daughters were born. In 1957, they moved to Liberal, KS, when Frank started work for Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Co. Martha joined him working there several years later. They moved to Kansas City and both continued working for PEPL. Frank worked for PEPL 26 years until his death in 1983. Martha retired from PEPL after 28 years, and lived at her home in Sterling Estates until the time of death.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank, her brothers and their wives, Perry (Allabelle) Stonehocker, and Jerome (Orrilla) Stonehocker, and her infant great-grandson Layton Ryder Ensign.
She is survived by her daughters; Paula Richards of Topeka and Linda (Kent) Ensign of Overland Park, grandchildren Bethany (Chris) Weber of Topeka KS, Adam (Malory) Yarnell of Sheridan CO, Derik (Mindy) Ensign of Olathe KS and Brooke (Ethan) Heinzmann of Spring Grove IL, great grandchildren, Conner (Ashley) Ensign of Overland Park KS, Landon and Cameron Ensign, Rachel and Nicholas Weber, Naomi and Nadia Heinzmann, and Marjorie, Franklin, and Elizabeth Yarnell, niece Martha Ann (Burk) Jubelt of New York, 3 nephews James (Deborah) Stonehocker of Nashville TN, Robert Stonehocker of Atlanta GA, and Bryce (Lisa) Stonehocker of Andover KS.
Martha enjoyed spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life.
Funeral services will be held Thursday 10:00 am at Penwell Gabel in Olathe, KS, with burial at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
Donations may be given to Sterling Estates (retirement community) where Martha lived for over 10 years. She enjoyed her neighbors and they were very helpful and nice to her.
