Martha Denni Dorrell

Martha Gwynne Denni Dorrell, 78, Spring Hill, Kansas, died August 12th at the home. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri and attended Shawnee Mission Rural High School, Ottawa University and Baker University. Before her retirement she was the office manager for the family business, Dorrell & Son Insulation Co. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and volunteered at Anderson County Hospital and the Johnson County Library in Spring Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dorrell and a son, Reuel D. Hanks. She is survived by a sister, Jane Denni Gilges, a son, Michael M. H. Dorrell, two stepsons, Paul Dorrell and Dan Dorrell, three stepdaughters, Sydney Dorrell, Leslie Dorrell and Robin Dorrell, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 20, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 3934 Washington, Kansas City, Missouri; burial at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Overland Park, Kansas.
