Marsha Elliott Kintzle of Leawood, KS (formerly Denver, CO) passed away peacefully in her apartment on January 3, 2017 at the age of 74.
Marsha was born on October 3, 1942 in Winfield, KS to Lewis and Helen Elliott. She attended Winfield High School and later went on to Kansas State University. She pledged Alpha Delta Pi sorority while she was a Wildcat. In 1961 she decided to follow her middle sister, Jan to Colorado. Not long after she arrived she met friends that would walk with her through life. She started working at FIF, now known as Invesco and later moved to Arthur Young. Marsha was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in her early 20's but she didn't let it stop her. She also loved to travel and did so often throughout her life.
On July 12th, 1969 she married Gerald (Jerry) Kintzle in downtown Denver. Marsha became a homemaker after the birth of her first child, Jill in 1971. Their second child Cynthia was born in 1973. Cindy was diagnosed with Rhetts Syndrome and Marsha cared for her several years at home before moving her to a loving home (the Sillisans) where they could attend to her needs.
Family was the center of her life. While raising a family, Marsha loved to entertain during the 4th of July parties in Parker, bridge groups and gatherings for the Broncos games. She volunteered her time at the Parker Senior center.
Marsha impacted so many and modeled a life for those around her of humility and kindness, highlighted by her larger than life smile. Marsha moved to Kansas City in 2011 to be closer to her daughter and 2 Grandkids, Ethan and Jenna. They were able to share life together for 6 years. There were a lot of Ice Cream stops, movies, dinners, holiday lights, plays, bronco games and happy hours. Marsha loved spending time with family -they are who she lived for. She was an unbelievably amazing Mom, Nana, sister and friend.
She is survived by her daughter Jill and Bryan Cornine of Olathe, KS. Grandchildren: Ethan and Jenna Cornine. Sisters: Nancy and Rich Tredway of Winfield, KS and Janet and George Yano of Atlanta, Georgia.
Preceded in Death by her daughter Cynthia Jo Kintzle, Parents Helen and Lewis Elliott.
