Marsha (Kellogg) Butler, 63, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Olathe Medical Center after a brief illness.
Marsha was born on May 31, 1955 to Charles and Edna Kellogg in Iola, Kansas. She attended Pittsburg public schools and received her Bachelors and Masters degrees at Pittsburg State University. Marsha spend her entire career in elementary education, starting in Moran and Parsons, KS, before moving to the Olathe district in 1987. She retired in May of this year after 41 years of teaching.
On June 22, 1991, Marsha married Robert Butler, and they made their home in Olathe. She was an active member of the Legacy Christian Church, involved in many positions of leadership over the years.
Marsha is survived by husband Bob, her mother, sister Charlotte Swaim (Larry), brother Tom Kellogg, and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, and her brother, Ed Kellogg.
Memorials are suggested to the Children's Mercy Hospital or the Olathe Public Schools Foundation.
