Mark Alan Weddle, 46, passed away unexpectedly on July 27th, 2013. Survivors include his cherished wife of 22 years, Gina (Sciara) Weddle of Overland Park, KS, his two beloved children, Holly and Cody Weddle, his twin brother, Paul Weddle of Overland Park, KS, his two sisters, Donna Weddle and Janice (Weddle) Gales of Oklahoma City, and his parents, Forrest and Ruth Weddle of Olathe, KS.
Born March 19th, 1967, in Independence, MO, Mark attended Blue Valley High School in Stanley, KS. He attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence and graduated with a Business Administration and Accounting degree in 1990. He went on to earn an MBA and a Masters in Accounting at UMKC.
Mark met the love of his life, Gina Sciara, in high school while she was working behind the counter at Bruce Smith Drug. They were married October 27, 1990. Mark lived in Overland Park, KS, and worked for 17 years as a Manager in the tax department at Sprint. He was a devoted father who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing golf, fishing, and hunting. He was an avid Jayhawks basketball fan. Over the years, Mark kept close ties with his high school and college friends. He was a true and loyal friend to everyone he met. He lived for his children and was never happier than while playing video games with his son, Cody, or hanging out with his daughter, Holly. He had a ready smile, a keen sense of humor, and he was always there with willing hands for anyone who needed help. He lived his life with passion and dedication to others, and his life was filled with love, warmth, and happiness. He is now and will always be terribly missed.
Visitation will start at 9:30 AM and services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 1 at Christ Lutheran Church 11720 Nieman Rd, Overland Park, KS 66210. Relatives and friends are welcome to join family for luncheon at the church after the service. Mark's resting place will be at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, 13901 S. Blackbob Road, Olathe, KS.
