Mark D. "Bucky" Ephland, 55 passed away peacefully on Friday, May 18,2012 at home.
Bucky was born April 16, 1957 in Paola, Kansas to John and Darlene Ephland.
Bucky enlisted into the US Navy in 1975 and graduated from college in 1985 from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri.
Bucky was in the Telecommunications Business for over 27 years.
Bucky was very much a people person. He never knew a stranger and was loved and respected by all who knew him. He was always known as a practical joker and loved teaching nieces and nephews new tricks to play on their own Moms and Dads when they would return home.
In one of the Emergency Room trips Bucky did accept Christ as his personal Saviour so we know that he is in a Heavenly place.
Nurses from the hospitals and the nursing homes all knew who Bucky was when they were asked. They called him one of their "Special Patients".
He is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, his mother, his mother-in-law, his step mother, many brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, father-in-law, step father, grandparents and many other family members.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations may be made
