Marjorie Bailey

Marjorie L. (Smith) Bailey, 83, Olathe, KS (formerly of Harrison, Ark) passed away Thursday, December 21, 2006 at Olathe Medical Center. Burial will be held at a later date in Harrison, Ark.

Marjorie was born in Jackson, Michigan July 3, 1923, living most of her adult life in Los Angeles, California where she met and married George L. Bailey on June 2, 1944. Marjorie and George then went on to own and operate the Bailey Trucking Service in Los Angeles, California for 40 years before retiring to Harrison, Arkansas in 1987. They moved to Olathe, Kansas in 2006.

She was preceded in death by a grandson; Brian Aldis.

She was survived by her husband of 63 years; George L. Bailey of the home, four daughters; Sandra & husband Gary Gentry of St. George, Utah, Sallie & husband Ed Pierce of Rolling Hills, California, Robin & husband Larry Tomblin of Placerville, California, and Kathy & husband Greg Tompkins of Olathe, Kansas, grandchildren; Russell Foster, Stephen Gentry, John, Jeffrey, James, Joshua Reese, Todd, Scott, Brett Tomblin, Kevin, Kaitlyn and Kristen Tompkins, and seven great grandchildren.
