She is survived by her five children, Albert Otto Arnold III (Connie) of Ozark, MO; Marjorie Ann Metcalf (Thomas) of Crystal River, FL; John Denham Arnold (Diana) of Prairie Village, KS; Judith Lynn Arnold-White (Robert) of Overland Park, KS, and William Michael Arnold (Deborah) of Edgerton, KS, step-brother James Denham, of CA, and brother-in-law Richard Charles Arnold of Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Marjorie was born in St. Joseph, MO on March 1, 1922 to Richard Garland Denham, Jr., and Marjorie Nell George Denham. She married our father on March 27, 1942 at Memorial Christian Church in Kansas City, MO.
Our parents moved many times within the Kansas City area until making the move to Topeka, KS in 1972 when our father took the position of the Grand Secretary to the Grand Lodge of Masons in Kansas. They remained in Topeka for the next 45 years.
Our mother was the secretary of the Masons, the caretaker of the wardrobe and scheduler of all things that happened! For a highly intelligent person, she had a high regard for the simple things in life, like enjoying a Coca-Cola in front of the window with a good book listening to the escapades of her children. Her greatest joy has always been spending time with what she referred to as her "numerous amounts of babies". She was an inspiration to us all and while we miss her, we are joyous that she is now with our father!
Celebrate, Celebrate...dance to the music!
