MARILYN KATHLEEN CHAPMAN KRAUSE

Age 75, of Olathe, KS, died peacefully October 18, 2005, surrounded by her children. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 22, at 11:00am in the chapel of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe. The family will receive friends an hour prior to service. Interment, Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, KS. Remembrances are suggested to the Olathe Medical Center Charitable Foundation, 20375 W. 151st, Ste. 303, Olathe, KS 66061.
Marilyn was born on July 22, 1930 in Ottawa, KS to William Earl and Katherine Alice Chapman. She graduated from Ottawa High School in 1948, then met and married Earl Krause. Throughout her life, her passion for music and serving others brought her great joy. Marilyn was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed singing, particularly vocal jazz.
The past several years, Marilyn enjoyed living at the Good Samaritan Towers, where she developed treasured friendships and participated in the Towers' many activities. Above all, Marilyn cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by her children Angie (Don) Capps of Gardner, KS, Rick ( Karin) Krause of Middleton, WI, and Eric (Jane Reynolds) Krause of Olathe, KS, her grandchildren Andrew ( Stacey) Capps, Erin Bailey (Chris Stucky), Katie, Ruth and Heidi Krause, Henry Reynolds, and Rachel Adams-Krause, and great-grandchildren Kendall and Keenan Capps, Reese Bailey and Carson Stucky. She was preceded in death by her parents.
