Marie Kendall

Marie M. Kendall, of Olathe, KS (Formerly of Council Grove, KS) passed away Monday November 23, 2009 at home. A graveside service will be held at 3PM Saturday November 28, at Greenwood Cemetery in Council Grove. Friends may call from 10-11am Saturday at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe, KS. She was born to Maggie and Leslie Hawes. She was married Lloyd Denman who passed away in 1964. She then later married Jerry Raymond Kendall of Council Grove, he passed in 1974. At that time she took over the family Funeral Chapel. When she retired she moved to Olathe, KS to be closer to her family. She lived with her daughter Suzie for the past 10 years.

She is survived by 2 daughters Jerilyn Wilkins, of Excelsior Springs, MO. and Suzie Ames of Olathe, KS. 1 son Ernie Denman of Joplin, MO. 1 sister Diane Haynes, of Olathe, KS, 5 grandchildren including Brent and Brandi Ames formerly of Council Grove, and 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. As well as many nieces and nephews.
