Marguerite Whiteside

Marguerite Ruth Whiteside, age 58, passed away June 21, 2008 in Olathe, KS. In lieu of flowers contributions to the family for the grandchildren's education fund.

She was born in Pensacola, Florida June 18, 1950 to John Francis Ross and Dorothy Lucille Ramsey where she lived for a few years before the family moved to New Jersey where her father retired from the U.S. Navy. Shortly after that she moved to Kansas City area where she spent most of her life.

She leaves a daughter, Elizabeth (Mason) Douglas; she also has four sisters and six brothers, Sister Marilyn Ross, RSM, John "Mike" (Loretta) Ross, Theresa Henninger, Stephen (Janet) Ross, Rita Ross, Terence Ross, Timothy (Tracy) Ross, Tom Ross, David Ross, and Kathleen Ross, three grandchildren that she thougth the world of, Chelsie, Dylan, and Kaden.

She was a graduate of Avila College and return to Keller Graduate School where she received her M.B.A. She loved music and musicals. She was a volunteer at Starlite Theater. She was a huge football fan especially for the K.C. Chiefs along with being a baseball fan. She loved being active involved in several clubs which included book, ski, and bunko. In her free time she enjoyed having the grandchildren over to her home and spent time at the park nearby then by evening have a slumber party back at the house. She loved taking trips and going shopping with her daughter and they enjoyed dining out together.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her passion for living and compassion for others as well as her rare sense of good humor will be missed by all.
