Margery Adams

Margery Kathleen (Warren) Adams, 90, of Olathe, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014 at Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Olathe.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Kansas Lions Band or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the Susan G. Koman Foundation.

Margery was born September 15, 1923 in their family farm home near Jennings, Kansas, to Walter and Alberta (Heywood) Warren. She was a 1942 graduate of Jennings High School in Jennings, Kansas. Margery attended Kansas State University in the fall of 1942. Then she married Raymond William Adams, October 8, 1944 in Norton, Kansas. She worked as an administrative assistant in the insurance field and for Decatur County Roads Dept.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary since 1945. She was also a member of the Lions Club International since 2005 and held many different offices in the organization.

Margery was preceded in death by her husband, her sister and her parents.

Survivors include son, Steve and wife Kristi Adams; daughter, Kay and husband Scott Hansen; brother, Hugh and wife Jane Warren; three grandchildren Stephanie Adams, Mark and wife Shauna Hansen; Kristen Hansen and two great grandchildren Kaeleigh and Jax Hansen (Mark's children).
