Margaret Stone

Margaret H. Stone passed away November 22, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Home, Olathe, KS. Margaret was born in Eagleville, Missouri, February 17, 1921 to James Palestine and Olga Pryor Ragan. In 1940 she married Robert S. Stone of Ridgeway, Missouri, and in 1946 they moved to Johnson County, Kansas, first to Olathe, then in 1956 to Spring Hill, where they lived and raised their family. Margaret was a devoted mother and homemaker for all her 71 years of marriage. Robert preceded Margaret in death in August 2011.
Together Margaret and Bob raised four children; James Stone, Olathe, KS, Jane Creviston, Rosendale, MO, Judy Hostetter and husband Robert of King City, CA, and John Stone, Olathe, KS. Also surviving are grandchildren; Sara Eccles, Gardner, KS, Kathleen Leahey, Bend, OR, D'Arcy Stone, Murphysboro, IL, Cortney Creviston, Lenexa, KS, Wallace Creviston, Hailey, ID, Adam Hostetter, Coalinga, CA, and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 30 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe, Chapel, followed by a memorial service on Thursday, December 1, at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Johnson County Fair Association.
