MARGARET LORENE (BOWER) RHODES, age 80, passed away June 11, 2015 in Olathe, KS.
Margaret was born July 19, 1934 in Redfield, KS to Jesse and June Bower. She was married to Leland Rhodes on January 3, 1954 in Omaha, NE. They first relocated to Liberty, MO, then eventually settled in the Olathe, KS area in 1961.
Margaret enjoyed working as a librarian for the Olathe Public Library, retiring in 1981 but continued to volunteer at the library well into her retirement. Margaret and Leland also enjoyed traveling extensively after retirement.
Surviving family include her husband, Leland, daughters Margaret Sims, Sharon Lardie, and Carol Krogman, and sons Jeff Rhodes and Scott Rhodes, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, several brothers and sisters.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Floyd.
