Margaret "Jane" Raby

Margaret Jane Raby, 84, of Olathe, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024 at her home. 

She was born on May 24, 1940 to Robert and Evelyn (Cassaday) Weltman in Preston County, West Virginia. Jane worked as a Administrative Assistant for the Ford Motor Company, until the time of her retirement in 1999. 

On April 25, 1978, she married Thomas Edgar Raby, and they made their home in Olathe Kansas. She enjoyed water aerobics for many years. She also loved to quilt and use her embroidery machine, and enjoyed playing mahjong at the Olathe Community Center. She enjoyed playing jig-saw puzzles on her laptop computer and more than anything she loved spending time with her family.

Jane is survived by her husband, Thomas, of the home, her daughter, Mary Theis and husband Ralph, of Spring Hill, KS, daughter, Lori Miller, of Olathe, KS, her son, Greg Miller and wife, Debra, from Georgetown, Indiana, step-daughters, Joanne Dorris of Barbersville, West Virginia and Donna Ortega of  Milton, West Virginia, ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Evelyn Weltman and sister, Patty Lermond.
