Margaret L. Nance, 78, of Overland Park, KS, formally of Pattonsburg, MO, passed away May 21, 2012 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Overland Park. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Margaret was born Aug. 12, 1933 in Boliver, MO to Lee and Mildred Moore. She married Marion Nance in 1954 and spent her married life living on a farm near Pattonsburg, MO. Following her graduation from William Jewell College, she became a devoted elementary school teacher in the Pattonsburg and Maysville school districts for 39 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by her children, Allan Nance, Overland Park, KS, Larry Nance (Betty), Roeland Park, KS, and Susie Turner (Jeff), Overland Park, KS, one brother, Bob Moore, Chandler, AZ, and two sisters, Mary McEvers, Independence, MO, and Jean Thompson, La Habra, CA. Margaret had five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Compassionate Care Hospice, 10000 W. 75th St., Shawnee Mission, KS.
