Margaret Griffith

Margaret Jean Griffith, passed away February 14, 2013 in Olathe, Kansas. She was born October 6, 1925 in Ilion, New York to James and Mary Mullen. After graduating from the University of Rochester in New York, she began her lifetime career as a Registered Nurse. She retired from nursing within the past few years, after almost 60 years of service. Towards the end of her career, she was employed with Olathe Medical Center Cancer Research Center.
Margaret and her husband, Owen, were married on September 17, 1949 in Ilion, New York. They have been members of St. Aidan's Episcopal Church for the past 30 years, where Margaret was active with the Sisters of the King. She was also a member of the local VFW auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Owen, her children Karen Lomas, Norman Griffith, and Paul Griffith, grandchildren John, Mike and Mark Lomas, and Nathan, Mitch, Joseph, Sarah Griffith, and great-grandchildren Zoe, Kevin, Ellianna, and Zack Lomas, two nieces and six nephews, and her beagle, Buddy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John Mullen and sister Jane Rebasz.
