Margaret Ewing

Margaret May (Burns) Ewing, age 86, of Olathe,KS, died October 5, 2008 in Olathe. Margaret, whose father was a Presbyterian minister and mother a school teacher, lived in Olathe all of her life.

Margaret and Glenn lived on a dairy farm outside of Olathe for 50 years. They donated land from their farm to build Heritage Presbyterian Church.

Margaret was active in many organizations: Olathe Medical Center Auxiliary, Morning Grange, Presbyterian Church, various choirs, 4-H leader, Garden Club, and Harmony Homemakers.

She was born to Florence and Thomas Burns on August 19, 1922 in Olathe, Kansas. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Glenn.

She is survived by three children: Tom (Gracie) Ewing of Spring Hill, KS, Sarah (Ian) Richardson of Upland, CA, and Martha (Mike) Granger of Topeka, KS, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, contributions be sent to Heritage Church and/or the Leukemia Society.
