Malcolm F. Eudaley

Malcolm F. Eudaley, age 96, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on February 6, 2020. Malcolm was born in Altus, Arkansas on October 17, 1923. At age 6, the family moved to Freeport, Texas. Later he graduated from Freeport High School in 1941. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, he joined the U.S. Navy and served from 1942 until 1946. During his time of service, he experienced a kamikaze attack in the Philippines, where he lost many of his fellow sailors. He was severely burned and awarded a Purple Heart. With the surrender of Japan, his ship was part of the first occupation forces. He was honorably discharged from the Navy and soon met and married Evelyn Lucille Baldwin in 1946.

Malcolm enrolled in Bethany Nazarene College in 1946 and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1950 with a degree in Management and Marketing. For two years he worked at General Motors in Kansas City. During that time, he began to feel the call of God on his life to enter the ministry. After doing graduate level work at Nazarene Theological Seminary, he accepted his first pastorate.

From 1954-1960, Malcolm and his family pastored Mountain Grove Church of the Nazarene. While there the church grew, and three buildings were constructed. Later the family moved to Neodesha, Kansas, where they pastored from 1960-1964. For his last pastorate, they went to Springfield, Missouri to minister at Scenic Drive Church of the Nazarene. While there, he completed their new sanctuary as well as building an educational unit.
In 1969, Malcolm went to a Billy Graham conference, where he won a trip to the Holy Land. This experience forever changed him and led him into a different direction in his ministry.

Consequently, Malcolm entered overseas mission work with World Vision International. He also worked for Every Home for Christ and the Christian Civic Foundation.

In his later years, Malcolm created Global Education Plus. This non-profit worked in China and the Eastern Bloc countries to provide training for pastors. The organization also served primary and secondary Christian schools, specifically, in Central America. They provided textbooks, buildings, computers, and medicine for underprivileged children. Malcolm continued this organization for twenty years.

Malcolm was preceded in death by his parents, John and Leota Eudaley, sister, Gladys Woods, brothers, Tommy, Paul and Gervis. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Evelyn (Baldwin) Eudaley, children, Linda Walker (Gene) of Springfield, Missouri, Janice Eudaley (Mary Lou) of St. Louis, Missouri and Elizabeth Diddle (Brian) of Olathe, Kansas. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Sarah Holmes (Aaron) and Emily Diddle; plus three great-grandsons, Lincoln, Wilson and Truman Holmes .
