Lyle Dean Yowell, of Olathe, passed away on August 6th, 2017. He was born on August 1, 1946 in Chanute, Kansas to Eldon and Ruth Yowell.
Lyle was raised on the family farm in Henry county, Kansas. He attended Chanute High school. Lyle left the family farm after high school, for the telecommunication industry. He worked for the companies that would eventually be Sprint and its subsidiaries, until retirement. Lyle grew up hunting on the farm, which turned into a lifelong interest in hunting and firearms. He also had a love of classic cars, especially Chevrolet Corvettes and their automotive history. Lyle was also fond of golf, playing with friends in various local tournaments. Lyle also was able to replicate his mother's famous macaroni and cheese with uncanny precision.
He is survived by his sons Sean and Aaron, as well as his first wife, and mother to his two sons Anne Daggett, his brothers, Wayne Yowell and Dale Yowell and Sister, Patricia Yowell.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Eldon Yowell and Mother, Ruth Yowell.
The family will receive guests for a memorial visitation on Monday, August 14, 2017, from 6-8pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe.
